Loop Facilities

Built for Viking Champions

The Loop is a new indoor training facility designed to support athletic excellence while creating new opportunities for movement, wellness, and community engagement. Featuring a six-lane, 200-meter indoor track, field event training areas, and flexible practice space, The Loop expands Lawrence’s ability to support student-athletes while enhancing the broader campus experience through year-round activity and connection.

01

Practice & Training Center

Answering the need for expanded practice and training spaces for Vikings sports teams, this impressive facility includes an indoor track, field event training area, and one of the largest indoor turf areas in the Fox Cities, featuring an infield practice area striped for multiple sports.

02

6-Lane, 200-Meter Indoor Track

Consider the difficulty of preparing for the indoor track season on a snow-covered outdoor track in the middle of a Wisconsin winter. The Loop’s six-lane, 200-meter running track changes all that, giving our teams a competitive edge.

03

Field Event Training Areas

Imagine competing in the long jump when your first landing in a sand pit is during a competition. The Loop’s field event training area includes a long jump runway with 23-foot sand pit, a pole vault runway and landing, high jump runway and landing, and throwing area.

04

Enclosable Infield Area

The Loop’s turf-covered infield area can be completely netted off, allowing track and field athletes to safely practice while the soccer, football, lacrosse, softball, or baseball teams train on the infield.

05

Gathering Space

Despite the challenges, our Vikings athletic teams are succeeding. Imagine what these talented athletes could do with facilities that match their abilities.
